We, at Roots shared a glimpse into the incredible growth we’ve experienced over the years, which inspired the rebranding of our company to better reflect both where we’ve been and where we’re headed.
Meet the Owners
Roots was founded in 2022 by
Eric Kreider and his family with a simple mission to serve the community’s small-scale construction needs with integrity, craftsmanship, and care. Drawing from Eric’s background in property management, maintenance, and custom home building, Roots began as a handyman service dedicated to dependable, high quality work. Eric and his wife, Lexi, took the leap into business ownership not only to create something lasting for their family, but also to make a positive impact on the construction industry in Yates County. Today, they live in Rock Stream with their five children, still committed to that same vision.
In January 2025,
we rebranded to reflect our true specialties, deck building and interior remodeling. This shift allowed us to focus on the work we love most and excel at, transforming spaces with creativity, skill, and precision.
In July 2024,
Roots welcomed a new partner, Junior Cornell. Raised in the construction industry, Junior learned the trade from his father and went on to gain extensive experience as a project manager in several construction businesses. His expertise and leadership brought a new level of depth to Roots’ capabilities. Junior and his wife, Nicki, live in Penn Yan with their three children.
